Roxanne van Rijn works as an independent strategist on accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility on medium and long distances. She believes that travel can be a force for good, but that the way we travel is not coherent with our goals within society and for our planet. Therefore, she works to accelerate the transition to sustainable travel within Europe. As a mobility strategist, she works for a variety of clients within the mobility sector. Earlier she led The Aviation Challenge at SkyTeam, where 22 international airlines demonstrated a 19% CO2 reduction potential, and was a strategy consultant advising companies such as ABN AMRO and L’Oréal on sustainability strategy at Elemental.

Roxanne co-founded CALL Aviation to Action, founded travelalternative.eu and contributes to the Future Friendly Fund, which makes the true price of flying visible. Roxanne holds an MSc in Strategic Product Design from TU Delft and an MSc in Management of Innovation from Erasmus University.

Roxanne currently serves on the board of SDG Nederland, responsible for long-term strategy and finance, and serves on the Advisory Board to the Master in Sustainability Transitions at the Hogeschool Rotterdam.
